GCMC Laboratory offers a wide variety of tests to better help your physician take excellent care of you. Laboratory professionals test your blood specimen and compare your results to a reference range, often referred to as the "normal range."

GCMC appreciates the opportunity to provide quality laboratory testing at an economical price through community / business-sponsored health fairs. They are scheduled quarterly in the surrounding communities of Gove County by the Gove County Health Department

Direct Access Testing Order Form

Now available on a walk-in basis, Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at GCMC Laboratory Department.

Appointments and doctor orders are not required. Convenient hours, low cost and minimal wait times make it easy to keep tabs on your health.

Benefits of Direct Access Testing (DAT):
Lower out-of-pocket expense for patients who are uninsured or have a high deductible
Some individuals may wish to have more frequent testing than their health care insurance plans will cover.
A good option for people who wish to assess their health status on a regular basis.
Individuals can have basic lab testing performed without a physician's order.

Patients will have electronic access to their results through the GCMC Patient Portal. To get set up for this Portal, contact Patient Registration at GCMC at 785-754-3341, ext. 5154. It is the patent\'s responsibility to share results with their physician.

The Direct Access Testing order forms and test requirements are available online or you can get them at GCMC Business Office, Patient Registration and the Laboratory Department. The Laboratory will not bill insurance for Direct Access Testings. GCMC accepts cash, check or credit card at the time of service.
