Gove County Medical Center (GCMC) is now accredited by the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE) to offer Diabetes Self-Management Education/Training. This will allow residents in and around Gove County increased access to critical diabetes education services.
Diabetes education is a collaborative process through which people with diabetes gain the knowledge and skills needed to modify behavior and successfully self-manage the disease and its related conditions. It is provided by diabetes educators.
Gove County Medical Center in Quinter, KS offers diabetes education on an individual basis on Mondays. Diabetes education is a referral based program.
